About Us

   Our powersports journey began when the late Steve Vandeputte started Brainerd Yamaha in 1989.Ski Doo and Sea Doo were added to the lineup in the early 90's and then the purchase of Brainerd Honda in 1992 added another brand and building to run. Steve continued to run the Yamaha store while Steve's younger brother Chris Vandeputte ran the Brainerd Honda store. Then in 1997 the two decided to combine their stores and the name became Brothers Motorsports,to reflect the family orientated business and atmosphere they were trying to create with their customers. With the addition of more brands,the company purchased a neighboring building in 2000 and expanded their showfloor,which currently has more than 200 machines on display indoors.

   Brothers Motorsports is located in the heart of the beautiful Brainerd Lakes area of central Minnesota. We are the area's largest recreational powersports dealer, carrying products from CanAm,CFMOTO,Honda,Kawasaki,KTM, Suzuki, Sea-Doo, Ski-Doo and Yamaha, we also sell Triton Trailers. Being one of the largest volume, multi brand, recreational product dealers in Minnesota, Brothers Motorsports carries a wide variety of inventory including  Street motorcycles,Dirt bikes Snowmobiles, All terrain vehicles (ATVs), Sidexsides (UTV) and Personal watercraft (jet skis) as well as Yamaha's generators and pressure washers.
